frequently asked questions:- Q. what makes workboss different from other employment services on the web. A. at workboss, the searcher/ employer has the say in who they want to interview; not someone within the employment services, of your country, or the ( human component of other internet sites ) and the worker/ employee has the option to accept the interview or not. as i have said before,.. the employer knows the requirements for the job position better than any other person... not an employment service employee,..and anyone can search our database, as there are no restrictions. by the time a person or persons have been chosen, through our service for an interview,..up to nine questions may have already been answered,...simply because of the information they have supplied,.. making the employers task much easier right from the start. ( by using the main search fields, and refining those results as many times as you like ) at workboss, we offer the worker and employer, a whole new approach to how both, can search and find, employment or employee/s, with our service. Q. why isn't your service free to put my resume onto. A. we took this approach because, only those seriously looking for work, or those looking for a new job, would place their details onto the system; and secondly by paying,..the information is going to be correct and accurate. ( this greatly reduces the chance of false and misleading details being supplied to the service ) i have become aware of the pitfalls ( in my opinion ) of the more well known and established employment businesses on the net,.. these also charge you to go onto their system, but use employees to "match your details" to job positions, sent or posted by employers,..these employees, e-mail you the job description, if they think you are suited,...this approach is seriously flawed, as i have been directly informed by a person who used one such service, ( he had many e-mails, but very few, even come close to what he was looking for ) Q. why limit my resume to 1 A4 page. A. by doing this the worker details, will be uncluttered in that, those searching the database for new employees, will not be bogged down in many results pages returned, as a result of using the keyword/s function to search the resumes of workers, as only the keypoints, qualifications and main facts, would be summarised on this page; of course you would take to the interview your full resume. Q.why can't, i update my details in the database, to keep them fresh. A. there is a number of reasons for this, as past experience has shown, that an individuals details have been unknowingly altered, ( by a friend or enemy ) as a joke or worse,.. simply because they were told or saw their access information; ( and i am sure that, you do not need to add another, username and password in your life, to remember !!! ) Q. what is the charge for placing my resume onto the site. A. all are shown in the rates and prices link on the front page, to answer the question, it ranges from 5.5 cents to 11 cents per day, to have your basic details shown 24/7 for the nominated period selected...( this is not even the cost of one phone call, if you were to reply to an ad in a newspaper! ),.. and what about the cost of that paper?,..if you can find a simular employment service, that is cheaper than us, i would like to know,.. please send your message to manager@workboss.com Q.I have concerns, that my current boss may find out, that i am looking around for another job, if i use your site. A. you have nothing to be concerned about, as only basic details and resume are accessible, for public viewing,..all other information ( surname, address, ph/ contact, post code, e-mail, or jobseeker ID/ social security # ) can not be accessed, ( the only possible exception to this is in your resume when compiling it... do not identify any recent employment via name or business directly ) Q. i have been using your " job search" section, an there is nothing there? A. there may simply, not be any listings on the system,..you should understand that workboss has approached the employment question in a different manner in that,.. what has been the norm for so long ( job searching the old way has become secondary ) to our main approach, of the workers resumes and basic details are freely accessible to the public, without restriction. so the only time job listings are placed onto this system, would be when the employer is unable to find anyone to his or her satisfaction, or simply to increase the responce to their own employment drive; so if you are disappointed with your current employer,..and a change is needed, then seriously consider the easy/ convenient alternative we are offering. ( just consider the time and cost, you will need to put into your job searching the old way, by buying papers, finding the time to do the rounds of your local employment agencies/ services, perhaps this can be done over the internet, with their website;..the phone calls and resume writing, posting or delivery of your resume );.. what about the unsuitable, wrong, or the "just forfilled" job position, when you rockup for the interview,.......... do you really need to buy into this old way all over again ?.. ) |
